Here’s the latest proof that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
The play you see schooling the opposition in the video above is LeBron James Jr., or Bronny to his family and friends. The 9-year-old recently led his AAU squad to a tournament title at the Ronald Searles Classic in Houston, and there was no question who the scene stealer on the court was.
Over the course of the tournament, Bronny did it all. He scored off the dribble. He threaded incredible passes to teammates. He set up teammates with driving assists. And, as noted by our friends at fellow USA Today site For The Win, he is definitely not afraid of contact near the rim.
Maybe Ohio State coach Thad Matta was on to something when he said little LeBron was on his recruiting radar?
Of course, Matta and co. can’t comment publicly on Bronny for some time to come. For now, he’ll have to be content with the praise of his father.
