Chef of the Week
In sports the term “cookin” is reserved for a player who goes on a scoring spree or gets hot during a game and makes big plays on the offensive end.
This week’s “Chef of the Week” award goes to 1 Nation (Mich.) wing Josh Jackson for dropping, count ‘em, 41 points in a win over KC Run GMC (Kan.) at the Under Armour Association last weekend.
Jackson shot 19 of 24 from the field in the win.
Efficiency, the mark of a true chef.
Poster of the Week
This week’s Poster of the Week winner is Team Loaded (N.C.) wing Shaun Kirk for the truly vicious poster he created in a win over DFW Elite (Texas) at the adidas Gauntlet last weekend.
Kirk leaked out on the break, took a dribble and skied over a defender who really should’ve rethought trying for the trail-block.
Check it out below.
Oh No They Didn’t!
This award is reserved for the player who turned in a mind-boggling performance or play that left the crowd in a state of shock and amazement.
This week’s “Oh No They Didn’t” winner is Team Rio (N.J.) guard Scottie Lewis for throwing down a 360-dunk during a game at the Atlantic City Showcase on April 15.
Yes, an actual 360-degree dunk; yes, really.
Lewis, by the way, is an eighth grader.
Yes… Really.
